Slåttejazz: Helene Høye – Ole Sigvard Lunnan
Helene Høye, fiddle and Ole Sigvard Lunnan, piano, are glad to present new repertoire. Slåttejazz is playing with tradition, creative zest, fiddle and piano, traditional music that touches jazz.
New album from Slåttejazz: GLIMT
13 songs, musical paintings and stories, about nature and people.11 of the songs are self-composed, and two of them are old songs from Gudbrandsdalen. In 2011, they released their first album which received good acclaims from several media. Thus, the journey continued, sometimes a few steps off the beaten path, but never without the glimpse of the familiar and beloved, brilliant people, places and tradition.
Landskappleik
Helene has an extensive activity in traditional music behind her, from Landskappleik, in larger and smaller formats and with Rikskonsertene. She is originally from Gudbrandsdalen, but is residing in Nesodden. Ole Sigvard has a versatile background from different jazz bands and classical music. He comes from Trøndelag, but is residing in Kolbotn.
The release is celebrated with a release concert Sunday 3rd of June in Kolben Kulturhus.
