Eric Andersen´s First Live Album

Eric Andersen has just released his first, and long awaited, live album: Blue Rain. The album was recorded in Norway in June 2006, with a beautiful band, picked from the tremendous array of highly qualified Norwegian performers. The album contains material from Eric Andersen’s long career, and includes the classic “Blue River” from 1972, the beautifully mellow “Trouble in Paris”, and includes a new version of “Can´t relive the past”, which is written alongside his longtime buddy, Lou Reed. The album offers a sensational sonic level, mixed to perfection to disclose Eric Andersen’s trademark; his extremely convincing presence and relation to the songs. Live recordings rarely manage to capture the moment and the energy from the performance.

The album offers a sensational sonic level, mixed to perfection to disclose Eric Andersen’s trademark; his extremely convincing presence and relation to the songs. The band and Andersen really hit it this time, and the album reflects their mutual understanding for the songs, and their respect for each other.

Lived Life

Lyrically, Eric Andersen comments on a lived life, with convincing reflections on all of life’s different colors. All in all, this album is a worthy statement from one of music’s finest songwriters and performers, and hopefully this recording will reach new audiences throughout the world.
