An energetic and honest debut album from Marcus Løvdal Band
International Blues Challenge
In January 2015 – with a large portion of energy and flow after very positive feedback around the country – the band went to the IBC (International Blues Challenge) in Memphis to represent Norway. Having achieved a very strong position in the competition, the band came home with new contact from around the world and more dates both home in Norway and abroad.
Energy and enthusiasm
The songs had been ready for a long time before they were recorded. The only thing lacking was to record them and find the right producer. Some songs have been finished in rehearsal, others have been worked on over time. The band feels that the songs and the album clearly shows who they are as a band. Although genre is not something they take into account, they have their feet firmly planted in blues. With producer Leif Johansen, they have managed to capture the energy and the joy that Marcus Løvdal band shows when they play live. That makes this album an energetic and honest debut album.
