The Poetry of Herman Wildenvey

Herman Wildenvey (1885–1959) is considered one of the 1900s’ greatest Norwegian poets and this album celebrates the 100 years that have gone since the release of his first poetry collection, Nyinger. Wildenvey i ord og toner [Wildenvey in words and music] presents a variety of Wildenvey´s poems and it is the renowned actress Liv Dommersnes that gives voice and life to the selected poems, while Karin Krog and John Surman have composed beautiful music to follow the texts. Karin Krog perform also the poems "Pinselilje" and "Selma", set to music by Eyvind Alnæs.
