After a rich and varied career, Jan Eggum has earned his place as a pillar in Norwegian music, both as a lyricist and an artist. “Observatør” contains 11 brand-new songs, and the band consists of some of Norway’s most experienced and skilled musicians: Anders Engen, Bugge Wesseltoft, Audun Erlien, Bendik Hofseth, and Nils Petter Molvær, all of whom are veterans who have played countless times with Eggum since 1990.

Eggum has been releasing albums with his own lyrics and melodies since 1975, which have earned him many Spellemann Awards, strong sales, and good reviews. Eggum has been performing live throughout his entire career, both solo and with some of Norway’s most talented musicians.
