‘Floweryard’ is a musical collaboration between Torhild Nigar, Line Blixt Ivarson and Hanne Skjønneberg. The music and lyrics were written by Nigar and Rolf Graf, known from bands such as ‘Lava’ and ‘Secret Garden’. ‘Floweryard’ has been described by many to be the norwegian version of Enya. Nigar, who is educated as a visual artist, who is very inspired by nature in her work, wanted to paint the landscapes with words and tones. The record is romantically orchestrated with panflutes and strings, where the sources of inspiration has been classical music, pop and folk music – especially irish and scottish. The members describe their music as good for the soul, as it can create a sense of peace and respite from the stress of everyday life.
