Debut album from Pål Rake. Pål Rake comes from the windswept and pretty town Egersund on the south-west coast of Norway, and is a songwriter in between Norwegian folk tradition and electronic art-pop. He holds a Masters degree in pop music from the music conservatory in Kristiansand, has worked professionally with music since 2009 and was known for the Norwegian audiences when he got second place in "The Voice 2013" with Espen Lind as mentor. The lyrics are written and performed on his mother tongue, with inspiration from artists like Kolbein Falkeid and Ingvar Hovland. It’s about the generation growing up today who have high expectations of themselves and todays society, which quickly becomes disappointed when they’re faced with the real World. They feel that they somehow don’t belong. Nicolay Tangen-Svennæs and Eivind Helgerød (Jarle Bernhoft, Emilie Nicolas) has worked with Rake on the production of this album and the trio has received good advice from Espen Lind and Ingvar Hovland along the way.
