Susanne Lundeng’s artistic expression is rooted in North Norwegian folk music, which she has played and explored from a young age. She has managed to renew the traditional folk music without removing its origin, hence she is seen as the harbinger of the folk music of Northern Norway.

With her liberal and unconventional blend of traditional folk music and modern musical expressions, she creates her own characteristic and personal sound, which is completely unique. Her music is characterised by the wild North Norwegian nature and rural culture in which she grew up, but also by an artistic force and unique creativity from within. There is a certain harmonic savageness in her musical expression of moods, which is expressed well here in Wallin’s Imella.
