Øystein Birkeland is well established as one of Norway ’s finest cello players. He has performed extensively as chamber musician and soloist, and has fronted a number of excellent orchestras such as the Oslo Philharmonic, St.Martin-in-the-fields, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio.
