Kaia Huuse is one of our most distinctive and creative artists. Since the beginning of her career, she has distinguished herself as a talented and unique musician, singer, composer and lyricist. Huuse debuted with the album De som kan noe annet in 1998, and the Norwegian singer/songwriter scene quickly became aware of the young, exciting artist. The critics were enthusiastic and Huuse was honored with Josefines visepris for her unconventional music. Already one year after the release of her debut album, she released Egentlig kunstner (1999). Once again Huuse showed herself as a brave songwriter with a lot on her heart. The release was followed by the albums Mellom oss (2001) and Trist og fint (2004), for which she won a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen). In 2008, Huuse celebrated 10 years as a recording artist with the compilation Episoder, and in 2009 she released Onsdag. In 2011 it was time for a new compilation, Liten lykke – mine beste sanger. Huuse has collaborated with a number of talented artists over the years and has contributed to many compilations as well as her own solo releases. She has also been active in various projects. Among other things, she made music for the audiobook edition of Unni Lindell and Fredrik Skavlans Nifse Nella and syvstjernen in 2009. August 2011
