Ørnulf Gulbransen was known as an outstanding flutist, both at home in Norway and abroad. Throughout a long career he had a leading position in Norwegian musical life, both as an orchestral musician, chamber musician and soloist. On this album we are treated with some of his recordings for radio during the period 1960-1976, with works by composers Carl Gustav Sparre Olsen, Johan Kvandal, André Jolivet, Theobald Böhm, Charles-Marie Widor and Moritz Moszkowski – naturally performed on the highest possible level of technique and expression.
