Composer of the moment

Edvard Fliflet Bræin was a “composer of the moment”: his music creates an impression of having been written right down on paper without any form of resistance. It frequently has a musician-like expression with an elegant flow, enhancing the sense of physical pleasure in the performance itself rather than having a “deeper” message. He himself has said: “The music speaks for itself, and it simply reflects my joys and sorrows and moods, which are natural for me to express through music.”

All of the works recorded on this album provide an insight into the aspect of Fliflet Bræin´s compositions centering on diversion and performance, performed by Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and The Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra, with renowned soloists such as Eva Knardahl and Ørnulf Gulbransen.
