Writer and composer
Inger Lise writes most of the lyrics herself, and also several of the melodies. She has composed songs together with her regular guitarist through 15 years, Knut Kjetil Møen. Her musical landscape is in the folk-pop-genre, with hints of country, roots and traditional music. She is inspired by the seasons which is evident in her texts. Several of the lyrics originate from her own life, while other texts are based on experiences friends and acquaintances shares with her, stories from everyday life which makes an impression. The songs stretch from light-hearted and happy to melancholic, beautiful love songs. With themes as sorrow, longing and wistfulness. Both lyrics and melodies have a warm tone where gratitude and happiness are central. Her songs reflect both the good and the bad days in life.

Målblomen
Inger Lise comes from Byremo in Audnedal, Vest Agder county, but she is now living in lower Setedal, Aust Agder. She has received “Målblomen” by Noregs Mållag, for her use of Nynorsk in her songs. Singing has always been an important part of her life. The first time she sang on Sørlandssendingen she was only four years old. She is the youngest of her seven siblings, where her father played the accordion and Inger Lise and her siblings came with and entertained on different events throughout her childhood and adolescence. Her father, Arthur Stulien, plays an accordion solo on a song she has written as a tribute to her safe childhood. This solo is the last piece he got to record before he died, 91 years old. All of her siblings are singing on this song, “Minnebok”.
