Brødrene Iversens Orkester are made up of Dagfinn Iversen (vocals, song), Bjarte Aasmul (guitar), Geir Rognø (bass) and Helge Fredheim (drums). The singer Dagfinn Iversen from Voss has collected texts from fellow countrymen as well as his own archives. Magne Myhre, Jon Hjørnevik and John Gjerdåker are among the songwriters. The members are brothers in spirit, and keep Norwegian folk tradition proudly alive on this record that they have named "Mor mi står i glaset".

The titlesong from the album has been chosen as the first single.The lyrics to ‘Mor mi står i glaset’ are taken from the poetry collection with the same title written by Jon Hjørnevik (released on Samlaget, “This is a tribute to our mothers, who have kept us under control and in oversight, while simultanously providing us with a safe and good upbringing" – Brødrene Iversens Orkester.
