Gina Aspenes has one of the Norwegian west coast ‘s most beautiful and soulful voices. Here is her debut album «Inertia» – a title inspired by Newton’s first law – the law that says that things are as they are in there own right.
Soul and heart
Gina has previously participated in «Korslaget» on Norwegian TV2 and has a mile-long resume of live performances from baptism to burial , from rock to blues club scenes . The wide range tells a little about how versatile Gina is as a vocalist . Gina is soul. She sings with soul and heart and she is blessed with a magnificent voice . She has played in numerous bands, participated on other albums , been on TV , in church and on stage all her life . But not until now she has created a completely album herself.
From Hordaland to Nashville
The album " Inertia " is recorded in Hordaland Os Studio and in Nashville , Tennessee. It is produced by ORBO ( Ole Reinert Berg -Olsen ) who also plays bass and guitar on the album. On saxophone she has with none other than Keith Richards ‘ friend Bobby Keys – saxophone player for The Rolling Stones. On choir, Angela Primm and Gayle Mayes . On drums Erick Jaskowiak , keyboards Reidar Opdal , percussion Ine Tumyr , horns Bendik Brænne and Hans Friis .
