This is not the first time Groven takes hold of Grieg´s music. For years he has been involved in various projects and he has communicated Grieg´s lyrical tones worldwide. Listening to Groven perform Grieg feels like the most natural thing in the world, and the material on the album also exposes the harmonica very well. Groven himself says that it has been difficult to pick out pieces from Grieg´s voluminous work, but he has still managed to pick out what he describes as some of his absolute favorites. Sigmund Groven´s convincing grip on these melodies brings out new moods in the well-known gems and the heartfelt tones of the harmonica gives Grieg´s melodies new life.
