All the pieces on this album is collected from Nidarosdomen’s Boys Choir’s concert repertoar, music that for some reason has made a lasting impression – on the conductor, on the singers and on the audiences. “Pie Jesu” was a natural choice for this album. Viktor Stenhjem and Lars Magnus Stenum has satisfied many sopranos in this song by Andrew Lloyd Webber. That “Pie Jesu” creates massive cheer is no surprise, but it was particularly breathtaking when the entire concert hall of 800 people in the city Elk River, Minnesota, stood up and gave the choir standing ovations during the concert. An eternal moment for every one present.

Gabriel Fauré’s “Hvor fager er din bolig” is another example of a pearl that will always make an impression. The song becomes more beautiful the more you listen to it! In equal measures the other pieces on this album makes similar moving experiences, both for young and old. It is therefore a true pleasure to present the music on this album.
