Ingerine Dahl (1980) was born into a musical family in Stavanger, Norway. She started playing the violin at the age of three and continued her violin-studies in her hometown and then in Copenhagen, Lausanne and at the "Mozarteum" in Salzburg. Ingerine Dahl (1980) was born into a musical family in Stavanger, Norway. She started playing the violin at the age of three and continued her violin-studies in her hometown and then in Copenhagen, Lausanne and at the "Mozarteum" in Salzburg. She finished taking a second master degree at the Norwegian musikkhøgskole (NMH) marking the finish with a grand debut in Universitets Aula in 2018.
She has won several national and international prizes and awards both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She has since 2004 been associate 2.concertmaster in Stavanger Symphony Orchestra,i s the founder of Skasei string trio which has had successful tours to Scandinavia, Italy, South-Africa and France, Stavanger Katedralensemble and Ingerine&Milan DUO.
Ingerine guestworks as concertmaster in various orchestras and chamberensembles and teach “young talents” in collaboration with Barratt-Due/Senter for talentutvilkling. Her solo repertoire has a wide range from early baroque and experiments with ways to perform the «classics» to absolutely newly written music or even free improvisations. She has featured as soloist with orchestras in Norway, Denmark, Austria, Italy and Canada playing works by Svendsen, Bach, Telemann, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn, Saint-Säens, Beethoven, Mozart, Piazzolla, Pärt, Prokofiev and Mikalsen.
Ingerine Dahl plays the 1848-1850 J.B.Vuillaume "Ole Bull" violin kindly granted by Dextra Musica. She performed the world premier of Jan Erik Mikalsen´s Violin Concerto with SSO in October 2017 and «Solitude», a theatrical performance for solo violin, chamberorchestra and dancing children at Festspillene i Bergen in June 2017 both to great criticical acclaim. “Solitude” has its Oslo premier in september 2019.
