Meditative music for the season
On “Nowell sing we,” the Norwegian vocal ensemble Quattro Stagioni presents well-known and less known carols from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Recorded in Oslo’s medieval Gamle Aker Church the sound is direct and soothing, the atmosphere befitting meditative music
in celebration of the season.
Quattro Stagioni
Since its debut in 1987, Quattro Stagioni has established itself as Norway’s foremost vocal quartet, developing a repertoire which spans the history of European music. The quartet excels in the performance of both sacred and secular Medieval and Renaissance music from the French, Italian and English schools. The quartet has performed in Norway, throughout Europe, in the US and the far East.
