Presenting, analyzing and transmitting are the pillars of his work as teacher and conductor. His intensive compositional activity has spawned works for soloists, chamber ensembles, as well as for voice (Impromptu acrostiche for mezzo and three instruments, la Beauté (Excès) for three female voices and eight instruments). The Ensemble intercontemporain commissioned him to write a work for fifteen instruments, La Escalera del dragón (In memoriam Julio Cortázar), which was premiered in 2004 by Jonathan Nott. Strauch is the co-founder, together with composers Diogène Rivas and Antonio Pileggi, of the Festival A Tempo de Caracas. Sept 2009
