Melinda Csenki

Melinda Csenki (b. 1992) is violinist and is studying for a bachelor's degree in violin performance and PPU at the Barratt Due Music Institute in Oslo with Henning Kraggerud. She has been on tour with Oslo Camerata in Spain and Mexico, and in 2010 she won the Oslo Camerata soloist competition. Melinda Csenki (b. 1992) is violinist and is studying for a bachelor’s degree in violin performance and PPU at the Barratt Due Music Institute in Oslo with Henning Kraggerud. She has been on tour with Oslo Camerata in Spain and Mexico, and in 2010 she won the Oslo Camerata soloist competition. Melinda has on several occasions been the concertmaster of the Barratt Due Symphony Orchestra, including the junior finals in the Menhuin Competition 2010. In 2011, she was invited to participate in Risør Academy, where she played in the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra under the Risør Festival of Chamber Music. She has participated in a variety of festivals, including Bergen International Festival, Trondheim Chamber Music Festival, Hardanger Music Festival and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Melinda began her studies in 2001 at the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester in the UK. Here she studied with Catherine Perkins, Jan Repko and Alf Richard Kraggerud. She also participated in the London String Quartet Foundation 2007–2008. Here, her quartet received master classes from several prominent teachers such as Levon Chilingirian, Simon Rowland-Jones, Christoph Richter, Johannes Meissl and András Keller. Melinda plays a Grulli 1888 violin. January 2012
