Harald Thune has been active as a musician for years, and is known as one of our best country music artists. His music has roots in the outlaw country tradition. However, Thunes appeal reaches far beyond the listeners of traditional country: Through his twenty years as a performer, he has become famous for his passion and enthusiasm, his energetic guitar playing and his personal and well-written lyrics. Thune has played in several bands and has released four albums. In 1994 he released Freestyle Americana with Svend Berg under the band name Campfire Combo. Later, in the 1990s, he started the band Hillbilly Hustler, who released Fresh and Fredløs (2000). In 2004, it was time for his first solo album, Johnny Cash Special, where he gives homage to the man in black with interpretations of various Cash songs. In 2008 came the critically acclaimed Love, Heartbreak & Drinkin´. Thunes album releases have received great reviews. With his dark, mesmerizing voice and high quality lyrics, he has gained a loyal audience and has become a popular live performer, well known for his stage charm. He is also careful in his choice of partners and has worked with musicians such as Lars Håvard Haugen, Knut Hem and Jørun Bøgeberg. May 2011
