‘Vesper’ er resultatet av gitarist/komponist Kim Myhrs samarbeid med det verdenskjente Australian Art Orchestra, ledet av Peter Knight, innspilt live som en del av Melbourne International Jazz Festival i Juni 2018. Verket består av tre satser som ender i en spilletid på litt under en time, og demonstrerer Myhrs mesterlige kontroll av kompleks og langvarig musikk. ‘Vesper’ betyr “kveld” på klassisk Latin.

As reflected in Tebbe Schöningh’s beautiful cover photograph of a seascape – an image which Kim Myhr says he imagined for the cover before any sound was recorded – the music on ‘You I me’ is suitably oceanic: a tidal flow of immersive sound saturated with the flotsam and jetsam of incidental detail.
