Albumet ble en braksuksess og salget oversteg alle forventninger. Albumet solgte godt over 100.000 eksemplarer, noe som var nesten utenkelig for en norsk country-LP ved inngangen til 1980-tallet. Dette ble starten for en lag og rikholdig karriere som folkekj\u00e6r artist og H\u00e5land har mye av \u00e6ren for \u00e5 ha introdusert norsk countrymusikk p\u00e5 markedet. I 2004 ble tre av h\u00f8ydepunktene fra H\u00e5lands tidlige karriere gjengitt ut p\u00e5 CD: On Tour, My Nashville Album og To My Friends. Disse hadde tidligere bare v\u00e6rt tilgjengelige p\u00e5 LP og kassett og hadde lenge v\u00e6rt borte fra markedet. I tillegg til de originale innspillingene inneholdt de nye utgivelsene dessuten ulike bonusspor.
