Orbo & The Longshots – Prairie Sun<\/p>\n
\u201cPrairie Sun\u201d was recorded mainly out on the prairie in California, in the studio with the same name \u201cPrairie Sun Recording Studio\u201d, used by Tom Waits and The Grateful Dead among others.
\n\u201cPrairie Sun\u201d is decidedly our best album to this date, an album we worked extremely hard with for two years\u201d. We\u2019ve played in every little corner of our beautiful country, and we\u2019re a good old-fashioned travelling rock band\u201d \u2013 Ole Reinert Berg-Olsen.
\nPrairie Sun consist of 13 new songs signed Orbo or Orbo and Ine Tumyr. Mark Knopfler\u2019s guitarist Mike Henderson contributes on three songs, and Fats Kaplin (Emmylou Harris\u2019 fiddler) and John Jorgenson (guitarist for Elton John) plays clarinet.
\nOrbo & The Longshots started playing together in 2000, formed by Ole Reinert Berg-Olsen also called Orbo. The won the Norwegian Grammy award in 2009 for their album \u201cHigh Roller\u201d (2008). In 2011 they were nominated for \u201cBergen\u2019s Best Band\u201d by the news paper Bergens Tidende.<\/p>\n
