Live Album from Bukkene Bruse<\/p>\n
Bukkene Bruse\u00b4s live album Spel (Play) contains many favourite numbers from the quartet\u00b4s 15 year long carreer, as well as some new songs and arrangements featuring the acclaimed Norwegian classical string quartet Vertavo \u2013 one of Europe’s best string quartets. Spel is the group’s first live record, and is a highlight in the career of Bukkene Bruse. The repertoire consists mainly of Norwegian traditional material, formed into beautiful arrangements that honors tradition while they breathe fresh variations into the melodies. Bukkene Bruse, which is made up by Annbj\u00f8rg Lien (Hardanger fiddle), Arve Moen Bergset (vocals, violin, hardanger fiddle), Steinar Ofsdal (flutes) and Bj\u00f8rn Ole Rasch (keyboards) have previously released four albums, all of which have been well recieved by critics. They have toured exstensively in Norway and abroad for many years, and has released several albums, and also participated on a number of other CD-releases.<\/p>\n

Bukkene Bruse, which is made up by Annbj\u00f8rg Lien (Hardanger fiddle), Arve Moen Bergset (vocals, violin, hardanger fiddle), Steinar Ofsdal (flutes) and Bj\u00f8rn Ole Rasch (Keyboards) have previously released four albums, all of which have been well recieved by critics. They have toured exstensively in Norway and abroad and held the position of "Official Olympic Musicians" during the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.<\/p>\n
Bukkene Bruse, existing since 1988, has over the years given numerous concerts both in Norway and abroad. Their reportoire includes a varied and exciting selection of Norwegian folk music, but also new compositions and music from other Norwegian traditions. The group aims to present the different strands of folk music that exist in Norway. Although based in local musical traditions, the group creates new arrangements that give their music a unique expression. Their musical arrangements explore and deepen the unique traits of the folk music, rather than expanding their music into other genres.<\/p>\n
