Norwegian artists sing the poetry of Olav H. Hauge<\/p>\n
Ten of Norway\u00b4s leading musicians have set tone to poems by the famous Norwegian poet Olav H. Hauge (1908-1994). The result is a tribute to the great poet, bringing listeners into Hauge’s diverse literary world through very different musical expressions. Genres like folk song, hip-hop and jazz lead the audience towards Hauge’s poetry along new paths. The album gives new and fresh musical expressions to the poetry of Olav H. Hauge, written and performed by artists such as Bj\u00f8rn Eidsv\u00e5g Cardigans, Jan Eggum, Valkyrien Allstars, Thom Hell, Unni L\u00f8vlid and Side Brok. With their various contributions they conjure up new melodic sides of known and lesser known Hauge poems, showing the diversity of the inspiration from Hauge’s poetry.<\/p>\n
