When Ketil Bj\u00f8rnstad was asked to compose the commisioned work for the Canal Street Festival in Arendal in 2007, the working title \u201dCoastlines\u201d came to mind almost immediately. The same did the singer Lill Lindfors. Tuesday July 24, 2007 \u201dCoastlines\u201d had it\u2019s world premier in front of a very enthusiastic audience in the brand new Arendal Kulturhus. On stage was in addition to Bj\u00f8rnstad and Lindfors, an all star team of musicians: Nora Taksdal (viola), Svein Dag Hauges (guitars), Arild Andersen (double-bass) and Alex Riel (drums). Rainbow Studio did a live recording that afterwards has been mixed by Jan Erik Kongshaug. \u201dCoastlines\u201d is the third instalment in a trilogy together with \u201dSeafarers Song\u201d with Kristin Asbj\u00f8rnsen and \u201dGrace\u201d with Anneli Drecker.

Lill Lindfors has had an amazing career so far. During her 45 years in showbiz she has been involved in an impressive wide spectrum of projects on and off stage. She still is one of Scandinavia\u2019s most popular entertainers. As a singer she has received a great number of gold records. She has composed songs and has written scripts for both theatre and film, and she is an UNICEF ambassador.<\/p>\n
