Bj\u00f8ro H\u00e5land\u00b4s Solo Debut<\/p>\n
To My Friends was released in 1979, and was Bj\u00f8ro H\u00e5land\u00b4s solo debut. The album was a huge success and the sales exceeded all expectations. The album sold over 100,000 copies, which was almost unthinkable for a Norwegian country-LP at the beginning of the 1980s. This was the start of a long and rich career as a well-loved artist, and H\u00e5land was important in introducing Norwegian country music on the market. In 2004, three of the highlights from H\u00e5land’s early career were re-released on CD: On Tour, My Nashville Album and To My Friends. These had previously only been available on LP and cassette, and had long been absent from the market. In addition to the original recordings, the new releases also featured different bonus tracks. With these three CDs, some of Bj\u00f8ro H\u00e5land’s most popular albums were availible in a more modern format, expanding the group of fans even further.<\/p>\n
