This is a solid, Norwegian-language rap-record that’s sure to attract attention in the Norwegian music community. The actor Eivind Sander is familiar from the television program Nissene p\u00e5 loven, and the Norwegian film success ‘Buddy’. He has also been associated with several major theaters, and has had major roles, including at Oslo Nye Teater. On his debut CD Sander proves that he also a rap artist with high class texts. His lyrics moves elegantly between politics, existential themes and everyday situations, and the messageis conveyed unvarnished and explicitly. Some places he probably comes across as disillusioned and almost aggressive, but by closer listening you will also find warmth, optimism and especially humor in his lyrics. Producer and co-composer Jacob Young has been involved in providing Mellom fjord og fjell with an interesting and dynamic sound at the intersection of rap, jazz and pop. Rhythm and basic elements of music lies mostly within the rap genre, but the use of instruments such as acoustic guitar and trumpet adds other emotions. Famous musicians like Nils Petter Molvaer and Karin Krog also contribute on the album.<\/p>\n
