This is largely due to giant hits like &amp;quot;Barn av regnbuen&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Gategutt&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Alle duene&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Regnet er en venn&amp;quot;. Nilsen has taken inspiration from Norwegian folk songs and American blue grass, and thematically this album is one of his most political. One of the bonus tracks is a live version of &amp;quot;Alle duene&amp;quot;, where Nilsen dedicates the song to the occupiers of the R\u00f8nneberg house in \u00c5lesund, 1973. Nilsen was very involved in the matter and sent a telegram to the occupiers. The telegram is pictured in the CD-book. The same year Portrett was re-released, two of Nilsen&#8217;s other albums were reissued on CD: Tilbake (1971) and Byen med det store hjertet (1975).
