Sigmund Groven and the poet Halvor J. Sandsdalen<\/p>\n
On the album Kom sol p\u00e5 alle mine berg, Sigmund Groven has set music to lyrics by the poet Halvor J. Sandsdalen. Geirr Lystrup sings and Sandsdalen performs 10 of his own poems. The album was originally released on LP in 1981 and was finally available on CD in 1998, the same year Sandsdalen died. The CD release contains the 14 songs from the LP, among them many radio favorites. Sandsdalen, who often is compared to great men like Jakob Sande, Vidar Sandbeck and Alf Pr\u00f8ysen, often used the population and nature of his home county Telemark as basis for his writing. Nevertheless, his lyrics are universal and extends far beyond the borders of Telemark. Sandsdalen was a poet of enormous scope. Lystrup\u00b4s strong vocals and rough compositions fit the lyrics of Sandsdalen perfectly, and conveys with beautiful precision the many different themes expressed in this writer’s work.<\/p>\n
