Folk-pop from Jan Eggum<\/p>\n

Nesten ikkje til stede opens with “Kor e alle helter hen?”, one of Eggum’s most beloved songs. Another popular track is “Gjort noe med det”, which also was released as a music video. This was the first music video with Norwegian lyrics that was shown on MTV and was important to promote the use of the Norwegian language in Norwegian music. The album contains songs Eggum wrote between 1983 and 1992, ranging from cheerful to melancholic. The differences between the delightfully “S\u00e5 mange kvinner” and the heartbreaking “Telefon” underlines this. The latter song is one of Eggum’s strongest compositions ever. Nesten ikkje til stede is produced by Bendik Hofseth and many of the songs had a larger estimate of pop than what we had seen earlier in Eggum\u00b4s career, and it became evident that Eggum mastered several other genres than the genre of singer\/songwriter.<\/p>\n
