Stehammars was one of the formost champions of Sibelius&#8217; music, but in his own Two Sentimental Romances he was more inspired by Johan Svendsen. Fartein Valen&#8217;s short and intense violin concerto is his most loved work, much due to the fact that Arve Tellefsen performs it regularly.
