Telling the truth Siri Nilsen won the Grappa debutant award in 2008 and in 2009 she released her debut album, "Vi som ser i m\u00f8rket" to critical acclaim. Aftenposten wrote that she was "an artist who had already found her very own voice. The rumor of her excellence has not been exaggerated." On her new album she has collaborated with the producer duo Jens Carelius and \u00d8yvind R\u00f8srud Gundersen (Rumble in Rhodos), who both also plays on the album. Jens is in addition to having great success with his solo career for several years played in the band Blues Run The Game with Siri. \u00d8yvind has previously produced all the boards to Jens Carelius and more recently Hanne Kolst\u00f8\u00b4s solo album. "I am very happy to have been working with Jens and \u00d8yvind. They are skilled, creative and great guys\u201d says Siri. The sound is generally delicate and translucent – dominated by acoustic string instruments, keyboards and various percussion instruments. – Something that creates plenty of room for vocalist and text intermediary Siri Nilsen. About the title "Alle snakker sant = Everybody is telling the truth," she says: "The title refers to when your head, heart and stomach are telling you different things, and you agree with what all three are saying." All the lyrics on \u201dAlle snakker sant\u201d are in Norwegian, unlike on her first album, where Siri sang in both her father\u2019s and her mother\u2019s native tongues, Norwegian and English. \u201cAlle snakker sant was written during the winter and recorded in the spring at a rehearsal studio very close to where I live. I started by writing songs to console myself, and ended with writing that here and now is a good place to be,\u201d says Siri. \u201cSo this record is a sort of personal journey. When we started recording it the musical aspect also fell into place. The whole process has resulted in an organic, poetic and complex record that I\u2019m looking forward to releasing.\u201d<\/p>\n
