Rasmus og Verdens Beste Band are celebrating their 10th anniversary with sold-out birthday concerts at Tr\u00f8ndelag Teater and the release of a brand-new children\u2019s album. The group\u2019s fifth album, Banjo p\u00e5 badet, is a cornucopia filled with musical creativity, and offers a wealth of wonderful songs with lyrics that are both humorous and serious. The album was produced by K\u00e5re Vestrheim (Highasakite, Frida \u00c5nnevik) and is definitely their best product ever! The universe of Rasmus\u2019s lyrics is as broad and rich as it\u2019s possible to be, and ranges from funny songs about garden hoses and how the life of a cowboy changes when he has a baby to texts that address important and serious themes, such as the last track on the album, \u201cGutten p\u00e5 stranda\u201d.<\/p>\n
Banjo p\u00e5 badet was recorded at Propeller Studio with producer K\u00e5re Vestrheim, and features guest artists including drummer P\u00e5l Hausken, accordion master Stian Carstensen and the choir Steinerskolens Jentekor.<\/p>\n

Rasmus og Verdens Beste Band are famous after appearing for four seasons on the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation series Kosinus. Two of the band\u2019s previous releases \u2013 Kyssing e h\u00e6sli (2007) and Puppan te pappa (2010) \u2013 received a Spellemannspris (Norwegian Grammy) as the best children\u2019s recordings of their respective years, while Gul sn\u00f8 (2012) was also nominated in the same category. The band has played with most Norwegian artists, from \u00d8ystein (Knutsen) Dolmen to the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and is known for creating untraditional children\u2019s music of exceptionally high quality. They have sold over 20 000 records.
\nIn 2014 Rasmus Rohde & co produced the family musical Puppan te pappa at Tr\u00f8ndelag Teater. <\/p>\n
The production \u201cRasmus og Verdens Beste Bursdag\u201d will be presented on the Old Stage at Tr\u00f8ndelag Teater on 16-20 May and on 8 and 9 June.<\/p>\n
