Christian Hymns from Arve Moen Bergset<\/p>\n
The three musicians Arve Moen Bergset (traditional norwegian song), K\u00e5re Nordstoga (organ) and Geir Inge Lotsberg (violin) have been working together for four years, and their collaboration has resulted in a CD-release of religious folk tunes. <\/p>\n
Arve Moen Bergset sings religious folk songs accompanied by violin and organ. On most of the songs the trio of violin, organ and traditional song sound together, but on some we only hear the vocal by itself, while some religious tunes are without accompaniment.
\nK\u00e5re Nordstoga has written all of the arrangements on the record, with the exeption of one that was arranged by the organist Leif B. Andresen.<\/p>\n
\u00abHerre GUD! Dit Dyre Navn og \u00c6re\u00bb, \u00abI Himmelen\u00bb og \u00abEg veit i himmerik ei borg\u00bb are some of the most well known christian songs on the record, which also has some hymns that are unknown to most people.<\/p>\n
The music was recorded in Oslo Catheralthe autumn of 1996. The acoustic and the choir organ in the church made the conditions perfect for the musicians.<\/p>\n
