His steady and atmospheric compositional and improvisational style has resulted in many critically acclaimed record releases and concerts, and is a formative figure in the development of the aestetics we today associate with the term European jazz.<\/p>\n<p>On his record &#8216;Reisetid&#8217; Bj\u00f8rnstad writes music to poetry from poets such as Rolf Jacobsen, Kolbein Falkeid, Harald Sverdrup m.m.
