Under a blue summer sky in 2004, songwriter and artist Johanna Demker made a bunch of songs she felt was more her own than any one elses. Together with producer and longtime collaborator, Christer Andr\u00e9 Cederberg, Johanna started to piece the songs that was gonna become her second album \u00abPictures of me\u00bb together. These days Johanna has spent most of her time in the recording studio. Here she often works with songs in english or french, when shes not on the road with different bands or ensembles, like when she was the warm up act for the popular band Briskeby.<\/p>\n
The music of Johanna Demker is more than the typical style that is often embraced by \u00absingers with acoustic guitar\u00bb. She is known for her exceptionally warm and beautiful voice, and when Johanna sings and writes songs, she makes difficult things sound easy. Her unpredictable music covers the pop and rock categories on a greater scale, her choruses are catchy, but her lyrics are meaningful.
\n\u00abPictures of me\u00bb is a more outgoing and varied album than the previous, and you can say that Johanna shows more of herself in the music this time; she shows her own \u00abmusical pictures\u00bb. This is an honest and straight-from-the-heart album that reveals nothing but beautiful music and good craftmanship.<\/p>\n
