This album is like a musical journey throughout the various stages of the composer\u00b4s musical life, from the early Debussy-influenced piano pieces \u201cScenes from Nordland\u201d and \u201cTwo Portraits from the Middle Ages\u201d, to the two piano suites \u201cFrom Gudbransdalen\u201d and \u201cPrillar-Guri\u201d, both heavily inspired by Norwegian folk music written in an advanced pianistic style \u2013 all performed by one of Norway\u00b4s leading pianists Jens Harald Bratlie.
