The Grieg Trio Beethoven+ project is a series of concerts and recordings that will display both the contrasts and the connections between the infinitely expressive world of Beethoven and the individual voices of some of the significant composers of our own time. The combination of these contemporary works and Beethoven\u00b4s masterworks for piano trio may indeed be called daring, and listeners will have their perspective challenged. Beethoven+ will provide listeners with exciting and rewarding programmes in concert as well as on CD. <\/p>\n<p>The career of Grieg Trio has been extraordinary from the very start. After Vebj\u00f8rn Anvik (piano) S\u00f8lve Sigerland (violin) and Ellen Margrete Flesj\u00f8 (cello) won both the First Prize and two additional prizes at the 1989 Colmar Chamber Music Competition, Tibor Varga wrote: \u201cAll members of the jury spontaneously stood up applauding full of enthusiasm, some had tears in their eyes because of profound emotion.
