The former is represented by the work “Concerto for Violin, Wind Instruments and Percussion”, a piece reflecting the contemporary spirit of “new objectivity”, worlds apart from the overwrought emotions of a previous generation of composers. On the other half of the album is Berg´s “Chamber Concerto for Piano, Violin and 13 Wind Instruments”, characterised by the composer´s familiar free tonality. Both are dealing with the fall-out from the explosion into total chromaticism that had previously taken place, but in different ways: one into serialism and another into neo-classicism.

An album with absolute music from two men who were to become international figures, leading representatives of their different musical “schools”.

[180

0":"post-30636","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-simax-classics","7":"product_shipping_class-cddvd-shipping","8":"uni_artist_tag-alban-berg","9":"uni_artist_tag-einar-henning-smebye","10":"uni_artist_tag-eivind-aadland","11":"uni_artist_tag-kurt-weill","12":"uni_artist_tag-norwegian-wind-ensemble","13":"uni_artist_tag-ole-kristian-ruud","14":"uni_artist_tag-tony-harrison","15":"uni_main_artist_tag-eivind-aadland","16":"uni_artist_genre-chamber-music","17":"uni_artist_genre-concerto","18":"uni_artist_genre-winds","20":"first","21":"instock","22":"taxable","23":"shipping-taxable","24":"purchasable","25":"product-type-simple
["GET
