With the compilation "Livet er ei vise", May Britt Andersen presents a comprehensive collection of some of the best songs from her entire career. With the opening song "Ballongvisa", in a re-recorded and re-arranged version by Geir Holmsen, the mood is set in an extraordinary way, and we are further presented with a large number of songs from her career – from her successful children records to Alf Pr\u00f8ysen-tributes, and finally to the last song long time collaborator Trond Br\u00e6nne wrote for her: "Gul kjole".<\/p>\n
From her debut as a soloartist with "Et lite under" in 1975, Maj Britt has had a varied career which spans theater- and revueshows, big band, Alf Pr\u00f8ysen-renditions, christmas songs, and has been one of Norway\u00b4s most widely recognized childrens music artist. In addition she has re-recorded five of the songs with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra exclusively for this compilation. With a musical sound characterized by catchy melodies, presence and cheerfulness, newer generations continually discovers Maj Britt’s music and develops a close relationship to her and her unique musical world.<\/p>\n
